Catalonia is not Spain !

What do you mean? I know Catalonia is part of Spain with autonomy. Please note that I mention Catalonia on purpose, not only R. Barretina, Spain...:)

Maybe benefit of a (still) new coax cable ? With no water inside ?

Hello here.
Calypso uses an sk010 with 30/40 watts and a 6/8 wave antenne
minus leg is 11 meter and + leg is 33 meters..
That makes the different i think between Calypso and other pirates who use 1/2 wave dipols.

ps Calypso is in the same street as Radio Bleubird in de late 70's on Mw

Very, very interesting - and nice to know! It must be good also for listening! (Bluebird from the 70's visited me 2 years ago with Radio Monza)!
